Keira Shein Named Finalist in Best Entrepreneur Categor

ARLINGTON, VA and OWINGS MILLS, MD – March 12, 2007 – In the Stevie Awards for Women in Business awards ceremony Friday, March 2, WilkinsonShein Communications (WS) was named “Fastest-Growing Company of the Year” winner and Keira Shein, partner, was named a finalist in the “Best Entrepreneur - Service Businesses - Up to 100 Employees” category.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars.” (New York Post, April 27, 2005).

WilkinsonShein Communications is no stranger to the Stevie Awards, having previously won “Best Website of the Year” and enjoying finalist status as “Best New Company of the Year,” both in 2005.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners were announced during ceremonies at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel. More than 180 nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries attended.

The 3rd Annual Stevie Awards were presented in 34 categories including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women. More than 600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging last Fall.

The elegant Stevie trophy was designed by R. S. Owens, the same company that makes the Oscar® and the Emmy statues.
